Jorja Smith returns with a new video for her single “Come Over” which features OVO signee Popcaan. The new visual is an animated music video made by a small London based creative studio named Future Power Station.
The video is seemingly set in the future with sci-fi vibes. Social injustice must still be a thing as Black Lives Matter billboards still appear all over the city. For those who are anime fans, this video gives off heavy Akira vibes. She speaks above love and miscommunication between her and her love interest.
“I don’t know if you want me to come over, don’t want to ask, really I should know better.”
Midway through the record, Popcaan drops off a solid verse to help propel the song to a wider fanbase.
We’ve encluded Jorja Smith singles on our playlist and radio show. Including her “By Any Means” single, which paid tribute to the Black Lives Matter movement. It was part of a Roc Nation’s Reprise project that sought to bring awareness to social injustice issues.
