Anticipation continues to grow for the upcoming film based on Frank Herbert’s 1965 novel of the same name. Warner Bros. Pictures released the first official trailer for the upcoming Sci-Fi/Fantasy film. Starring the talented Timothée Chalamet as Paul Atreides, the Legendary Pictures and Villeneuve Films produced film will be part of a two-part series.
The first film will cover the first half of the book. Based in a far distant future for humanity, Dune centers on the most valuable substance in the universe known as “the spice.” The highly anticipated sci-fi film takes spotlights the dangerous desert planet Arrakis, which is the only place where the drug can be obtained. “The spice” extends human life, provides superhuman levels of consciousness and intellegence, it also enables the ability to foldspace travel.
