Check out the Atlas Skateboards x Nike SB Dunk High “Lost at Sea” Collaboration

Inspired by the classic Air Flight 90 and the Hansa Carrier shipping accident in 1990.

California’s Atlas Skateboards and Nike SB just dropped a bomb with an amazing Dunk High collaboration dubbed “Lost at Sea.” The name would have you think it has to do with the ocean, but ironically this SB Dunk pulls inspiration from Air Flight 90. This captures the essence of what the Nike Dunk has always stood for. It’s good to see innovation return to the popular Nike Skateboard line, especially with all the traction the Nike Dunk received this year.

For starters, the sneaker features uppers made entirely of a weathered, cracked leather. You’ll find white on the forefoot, quarter panels, heels and flaps. While light blue sits on the Swooshes, collar and tongue. We welcome the pleasant touches of cream detailing found on the laces and rims. You’ll find that same cream color on the lower half of each Swoosh, completing the aged, weathered look. Atlas takes a difference approach for the tongue.

Instead of the beloved puffy mesh tongue found on most Nike SB Dunk’s. The skateboard company goes for a tongue with a premium leather construction, adding their own dope touch with red and white embroidered branding showcasing  “Nike SB Atlas.” This all sits atop intentionally yellowed midsoles with Zoom Air cushioning featured in the heel which also matches the laces that round of the design of these beautiful sneakers.

“Inspired by the Hansa Carrier, a cargo ship that, on the way from Korea to the US in 1990, ran into storms in the Alaska Peninsula and lost 21 40-foot cargo containers. Five of the containers held 61,000 Nike shoes that began washing up on Pacific Northwestern beaches six months later”.

There’s no news on the official release date of the Atlas x Nike SB Dunk High “Lost at Sea” but as soon as we get a confirmed date. We’ll post it on our new Sneaker Releases Page. It’ll also likeshow showup on the Nike SNKRS. Hopefully. Lastly, for more sneaker news, Nike Set To Release the Nike Dunk High “Pro Green”.
