Taylor Gang’s Loody Boy recently released his 20-track project ‘Lightwork’. The collaborative project dropped on July 31, and showcases some of the brightest stars in Pittsburgh. When we spoke to Loody he stated why he he wanted to create a body of work such as this and he stated:

“I always loved music and I wanted to find a way to bring Pittsburgh artists together,”

Furthermore, we have Taylor Gang founder and frontrunner Wiz Khalifa featured on four tracks. The third track on the project dubbed “Coupe” features Khalifa and Taylor Gang artist and Loody’s brother Chevy Woods. You can hear Loody’s influence on many of Taylor Gang’s past project as he’s always given his opinion to his brother, Wiz and his friends in the studio. But but this ‘Lightwork’ project this time around was his own.

After two long years of cultivating the right songs for the project. Only selecting Pittsburgh artists he felt were serious, consistent and talented, “Lightwork” finally released. This album was a very hands on project for Loody Boy. Meticulously selecting the beats, artists, and the track list to give the album a fine-tuned sense of cohesion. Standout tracks such as “Sledge Made It” happen to be one of his favorites. Produced by Pittsburgh native Sledgren, it’s the energy in the record that Loody gravitates towards.

So the project also features new Taylor Gang signee Fedd The God who recently signed to Taylor Gang this past month gets placement on the project. It’s clear that Loody seeks to make a name for himself in the music industry with his new project. Loody Boy may possibly be one of the biggest A&Rs in the game in five years’ time. Taking the helm as Taylor Gang’s best talent scout. Bringing some of the best new artists to light. Lastly, for his next project, Loody informed us he wants to do something with all female artists, so fans of ‘Lightwork’ stay tuned.
