Today we get an official look at the popular Air Jordan 5, this time in a fresh “Apple Green” colorway. One can’t deny the uncanny resemblance this shoe has to Oregon Ducks Air Jordan 5 PE released in 2014 or the “Inspire” thanks to its large heel patch, a welcomed addition first added on the 2018 Michigan Wolverines-colored Air Jordan 5 “Inspire.”

Jordan Brand kicks things off with a vibrant “Apple Green” nubuck that would elate any Oregon Ducks fan. The large tag on the rear of the shoe reads “Quality Inspired By the Greatest Player Ever” while textured inner tongues feature the “Inspire” tag. We also find a pleasant touch of matte black on the throat, eyestays, tongue, lace lock and mid-foot mesh panel.

This all sits atop black midsoles that feature a welcomed touch of contrast with a hit of spiked yellow that can be found on the forefoot and within the air-bubble unit. Finally, they wouldn’t be Jordan 5’s without Icy outsoles to finish the look. The notable differences between the “Apple Green” and the 2014 PE are the heel graphics and tongue branding. As on the 2014 iteration, it featured Oregon Ducks detailing, which made the sneaker extremely popular.

The Air Jordan 5 “Apple Green” will release via Nike SNKRS and other Nike stocklist on September 12. With a retail price of $225. You can take a detailed look at the images in the gallery above. Lastly, for more sneaker news, Nike Releases Official Images of the Nike SB Dunk Low J-Pack “Chicago”.
