Netflix continues its commitment to the Black Lives Matter movement. The streaming giant seeks to provide content to help understand the movement.
Here in the US, Netflix already put up Ava Duvernay’s documentary “13th” online for free to help raise awareness of the cause. Today we have a list of content provided by Netflix that supports the movement by shedding some light on the racial injustice and inequality blacks have had to face for far too long..
Many actors have spoken up about the injustices they’ve witnessed with the killing of George Floyd. But it goes far beyond that and they know it. To those who have given to the cause by not only in word but in deed, thank you. Moving on, the films available include classics like Moonlight starring Mahershala Ali, and Malcolm X starring Denzel Washington, or School Daze by Spike Lee, but also more committed documentaries. In its press release, Netflix explained that it wanted to highlight “powerful and complex scenarios around the black experience” for this selection.
