Adidas Originals just released a new basketball-inspired lifestyle sneaker they’re calling the Adidas Niteball. What they’ve done is combine styles and textures from past models to create something all new. Reminiscent of the Nite Jogger, the three stripes pull several design cues from Adidas’ lifestyle division.
First, the sneaker comes in two iterations. We get “Collegiate Navy” and “Pink Tint” but what sets the Adidas Niteball apart is the excellent color blocking and bold Three Stripe graphic. They’re made of rubberized strips tucked between the mudguard and eyestays. We also get an upper comprising mostly of layered leather over a synthetic base. In addition to solid fabric lace loops and textured heels and jagged TPU clips. This all sits atop a LIGHTSTRIKE foam midsole that pulls inspiration from the Adidas Streetball.
What we love is the base of both shoes. They set the tone with a cream-colored base but both feature different color options. The first being “Collegiate Navy” which features heavy hits of royal blue, sky blue, yellow and orange. The second being the “Pink Tint” option features navy and sky blue with the most notable color coming in the soft pink tone featured around the eyestays.
