New Balance and Joe Freshgoods might just be a match made in heaven. Following his creative direction of the brand’s “Conversations Amongst Us” collection, the Chicago designer returns with his “Inside Voices” capsule. The assemblage features apparel items, as well as his take on the New Balance 9060.
The Nike Dunk High “Wolf Grey” Honors A Historic Capsule
Joe Freshgoods described his “Inside Voices” capsule as an homage to “the sights, sounds, and feelings of growing up in a black household.” Leading the range of items is a wool varsity jacket with an oversized “J” on the left chest. Opposite that, “Forever Quietly Winning” graces the right chest in cursive. On the back, a playful graphic shows two children whispering to each other above an “Inside Voices” text.
Additional outerwear comes in the form of a brown chore jacket with a “JFG” patch on the left chest. The collection also brings cozy sweatsuits into the mix, as well as crewnecks that feature New Balance branding behind the image of a child lacing up the 9060s. Lastly, comfy sweatpants spell out “Inside Voices” down the right leg to complete the capsule.
For the New Balance 9060s, suede overlays don a dusty peach hue offset by mesh underlays. The sidewall “N” logos feature a rosy pink tone, while small hits of green across the tongue branding and rear end of the midsoles. Further, the curvy sole units come color-blocked with peach and white layers. Lastly, the top of the heels displays “JFG” branding while the left heel says “Inside” and the right side reads “Voices”.

The apparel collection will release on May 17th via the Joe Freshgoods website. The New Balance 9060s will release at a later date that has not yet been announced.
