The wait is over. Celebrated Montreal DJ and producer Kaytranada has released his brand new album, AIN’T NO DAMN WAY!, which is out today, August 15, via RCA Records. The new project is described as an intentional and focused return to his dance music roots, designed to energize dancefloors, workouts, and study sessions alike.
The new album marks his first full length project since 2024’s widely acclaimed TIMELESS. That record was a star-studded affair, featuring a host of guest vocalists like Channel Tres, PinkPantheress, and Childish Gambino, and went on to earn a Grammy nomination for Best Dance/Electronic Album. In contrast, AIN’T NO DAMN WAY! appears to be a more streamlined and beat-centric project. In a since-expired Instagram story, Kaytranada described the new record as being “strictly for workouts, dancing and studying, and for my people that love beats.”

The album’s disco-forward lead single, ‘SPACE INVADER’, which was released earlier this week, set the tone for the club-focused sound. The full project continues this exploration, featuring a rich tapestry of samples from iconic artists including TLC, J Dilla, Latrelle, and the German electronic pioneers Tangerine Dream.
The release of the new album comes just ahead of Kaytranada’s massive co-headline tour with the legendary French electronic duo Justice. The tour is scheduled to kick off in Vancouver on October 16 and will visit 12 arenas across North America this fall, with stops in major cities like Chicago, New York, and Miami.
AIN’T NO DAMN WAY! is a confident and potent statement from an artist at the peak of his powers, delivering a project tailor-made for his core fanbase just in time to take it on the road.
