Nintendo, Universal Pictures, and Illumination have dropped the official trailer for The Super Mario Bros. Movie. The film marks the first cinematic adventure for the beloved cartoon plumber, voiced by Chris Pratt, as he explores the vast Mushroom Kingdom.

The new trailer also gives fans their first look as Prince Peach, voiced by Anya-Taylor Joy, and Seth Rogen’s Donkey Kong. Additionally, Jack Black, Charlie Day, and Keegan-Michael Key lend their voice acting talents to the film as well, portraying Bowser, Luigi, and Toad, respectively.
The Super Mario Bros. Movie is Nintendo’s second attempt at bringing the famous video game character to the big screen. In 1993, the company was dealt a box office bomb when they released Super Mario Bros. live-action. This time around, stunning animation brings a continuation of the game’s storyline to cinemas. The film will also dive into several aspects of the origin story, including kart racing, Tanooki suits, and fire flowers.
