Prior to becoming one of the hottest names in fashion, Salehe Bembury was a hoops fan. After teasing a collection in January, Bembury and winterwear imprint Canada Goose officially unveiled their new partnership. The capsule draws inspiration from ’90s NBA style as well as the functional heritage of Canada Goose garments. Throughout the capsule, contrasting materials and bold patterns honor the golden era of NBA style and encourage our more explorative side.

LeBron James and Kevin Durant Voted All-Star Captains

The capsule features four pieces meant to be layered. Foremost, the Expedition Parka sports an exaggerated Chenille hood trim and a removable vest. Bembury’s take on the Signal Vest offers an overstated hem in forest green. Elsewhere, the Concord Fleece uses an all-over thumbprint pattern in either a white on gray look or green on brown. Lastly, a Tundra Bib with an exclusive co-branded tonal disc completes the collection.

Salehe Bembury delivered this statement alongside the reveal:

“The NBA significantly influenced my interest in design. Growing up watching games with my dad, and loving everything about 90’s basketball culture, from the ’94 Knicks to Space Jam and The Fresh Prince. The ’90s were a time of fashion exploration. That ethos is what I believe Canada Goose, the NBA, and I have captured with this collection.”

The Salehe Bembury x Canada Goose collection is expected to launch via Canada Goose’s website and select retailers on February 11th. In the meantime, have a look at the official images in the gallery above. Lastly, for more fashion news, The North Face x Gucci Officially Launch “Pop-Ups” Series.
