When we get new colorways from Jordan Brand often they stem from classic colorways from MJ’s extensive catalog with slight differences to create something entirely new. This time around we get a sneaker that gives off serious nostalgia, and that’s the Air Jordan 12 “Royalty”. At first glance, this sneaker is reminiscent of the OG Air Jordan 12 “Taxi” which originally released in 1997. After weeks of leaks, which we don’t cover. We finally have official images of the Air Jordan 12 “Royalty” and these for us are a must cop.

There’s nothing new here as far as the Air Jordan 12 makeup goes but that isn’t a bad thing. What we get is a welcomed two-toned color-blocking scheme that works wonders. Starting with tumbled leather uppers that are outfitted in a clean white while the mudguards contrast with a stark black pebbled leather. We find some more black on the laces, interior lining, heel tabs and lower molds while regal metallic gold finds its way on the eye stays, mid-foot’s debossed Jumpman badges and the tongue and heel branding. They stuffed midsoles with Zoom Air cushioning and carbon fiber mid-foot plates and stealthy rubber outsoles to finish the design. You can take a detailed look at the sneaker in the gallery above.
