With many colorways to select and the addition of a highly sought-after collaboration with Casablanca. New Balance steps forward with a fresh look for the XC-72 sneaker. Which serves as the followup to previous models. This silhouette takes design touches from the likes of the XC15, 375 and 620. Making for a retro-futuristic sneaker inspired by the beautiful concept cars of the ‘70s.

It all starts with the premium suede and mesh upper. The sneaker features a clean “Storm Blue”, “Sea Salt” and yellow colorway which pull from colors of the ocean. A split rear design separates the heel from its heel clip while rubberized accents sit neatly with a half gum—half black outsole. We’re then met with a bright streak of yellow running from its toe box across the center, which also matches the yellow featured on the tongue. To finish the design, there’s the brand’s iconic “N” logo dressed in white, elevating from its light blue mesh lateral panels.

The latest New Balance XC-72 blue/yellow will be available in the Middle East from September 18. For its drop, the brand enlists one pioneer of nightlife in the Middle East, Emirati-based DJ Bliss.
