Whenever we get to listen to hip hop we’re delighted because it’s what made us start WAVYPACK. This latest record is straight hip hop if we ever heard it. AverageJoe goes off with a beat that’s murky and uninviting to an unexperienced emcee. It’s the perfect instrumental to get thoughts off. This is exactly what happens exactly 22 seconds in. Pure rap with bars kin to the essence of what hip hop truly means. There’s something about that first verse that just sets the tone. AyJay’s verse tones things down, giving a different take, nonetheless, the beat is so good it carries the weight easily with its graceful flute stabilizer.
