According to some sources, Sony will bring on a Head of Mobile at PlayStation Studios to take over the porting of its “most popular franchises” to smartphones. Sony hasn’t announced which titles will get a mobile version, but did state this will be a three-to-five-year strategic rollout. This isn’t the first time Sony dipped into the world of mobile gaming, with devices like its Xperia Play but never on this scale. This is a big move for Sony which could potential bring the “PlayStation” brand to an even wider audience.
