Naomi Osaka had a big year in 2020 so its only right she reaps the benefits of all her hard work in 2021. The tennis champion now serves as Louis Vuitton newest brand ambassador. She’s the frontline model for the French Fashion houses’ Spring/Summer 2021 collection. The house’s artistic director of women’s collections, Nicolas Ghesquière shot the accompanying campaign imagery.

Osaka is one of the first Black women to hold the title of brand ambassador for the luxury fashion house. We find her sporting her natural curly hair in the Spring/Summer 2021 collection, just like she does on the court. We also see the three-time Grand Slam champion rocking the hell out of Ghesquière’s contrast heavy seasonal t-shirt. The shirt features a detailed illustrative print and a golden sash. Finally, Osaka adds a dope shoulder bag which features Louis Vuitton’s iconic monogram canvas. Osaka spoke about the collection highly and in a statement said:

“Aside from tennis, my most treasured passion is fashion; and there is no brand more iconic than Louis Vuitton, “It is such an honor to work with Nicolas – he’s a designer I admire so much and we share a mutual love of Japanese culture and style. To become global brand ambassador is truly a dream come true for me.”– Naomi Osaka Ghesquière
