Valorant has become one of the most popular games to play, so Riot Games announced the Valorant Ignition Series. To make this possible, Riot Games sought the help of 20 eSports organizations to help hold these competitive events worldwide. Organizers will host events and variations of competitive open qualifiers, show matches, and invitationals.

The global tournament kicked off yesterday with the European G2 Esports Invitational. Presented by Red Bull, and the RAGE VALORANT JAPAN Invitational. Following the inaugural invitationals, the Ignition Series will continue in North America, Brazil, Latin America, Korea, Japan, South East Asia, Oceania, Europe, Russia, Turkey, and the Middle East. This should help boost and support competitive initiatives surrounding the newly released tactical shooter, Valorant.

The European G2 Esports Invitational, is the very first Riot Games-sanctioned tournament part of the recent series. This partnership with over 20 companies to kick-start VALORANT’s eSports scene, was a fantastic idea, so it’s safe to say that today’s event is just the start. We’ll keep you posted when we learn more, in the meantime. For more gaming news, EA Games Drops Off the Reveal Trailer for ‘Star Wars: Squadrons’.
