The Italian fashion house Marni is set for a new chapter, officially naming Belgian designer Meryll Rogge as its next creative director. The appointment follows the departure of Francesco Risso, who held the position for a long time.

“It is a great pleasure to welcome Meryll to Marni. She is an exceptional creative talent and an inspiring woman, whose vision and expertise will play a key role in shaping the future of this amazing brand.” – Stefano Rosso, MARNI CEO

Rogge is a formidable talent, arriving with an impressive resume. A graduate of the prestigious Royal Academy of Antwerp, she is also the winner of the 2025 ANDAM Grand Prize. Her prior experience includes design roles at both Marc Jacobs and Dries Van Noten. Since launching her own label in 2020, Rogge has been praised for a design vision that blends vintage feeling with modern skill.

In a statement, Rogge expressed her deep admiration for Marni’s “independent spirit” and called the new role both “humbling and inspiring.” Renzo Rosso, chairman of Marni’s parent company OTB, noted that Rogge impressed the group with her sensitive reinterpretation of the brand’s core identity and her contemporary global vision.
