HYKE, a cult Japanese label, has teamed up with Moncler Genius for a second collaboration. This time, the pair has built on ideas from their previous collaboration, going into the past to reinterpret heritage pieces from Moncler’s archives for a collection dubbed “4 MONCLER HYKE.”
Hideaki Yoshihara and Yukiko Ode launched HYKE in 2013 and are noted for their well-tailored combining of old workwear, service uniforms, and sportswear. Its particular codes have a flair for fusing basic looks with high-caliber utility – a feature that perfectly coincides with Moncler’s foundations.
Stüssy Highlights Modern Sportswear Essentials For its Pre-Spring 2023 Collection
The pair concentrates on utility under 4 MONCLER HYKE, with leading technical fabrics and finishes such as GORE-TEX INFINIUMTM, micro ripstop nylon outerwear, thermo-heated quilting, double closures, and YKK AQUASEAL® zippers. The collection contrasts elegant shell coats and vests in both long and cropped variants with dramatic quilted puffers in a black and neutral palette. Organic outdoor prints in sand, stone, and cloud break away from the collaborators’ previously rigorous devotion to block colors, while straight lines, side slits, and puller tapes highlight HYKE’s influence on the collection.
Fear of God’s Eternal Collection Elicits Quiet Confidence
Both men and women designs merge seamlessly with one another, across sweatshirts, sweatpants and long-sleeve T-shirts. Bush hats and HYKE Desertyx boots appear safari-ready; and rounding out the capsule, a pleated dress makes a confident statement.
4 MONCLER HYKE is now available in select Moncler boutiques and on the brand’s website. Take a look at the full collection in the gallery above. Lastly, for more fashion news, Golf Wang Launches its Colorful Fall/Winter 2022 Collection.
