The first trailer for the highly-anticipated Jackass 4 movie was released by Paramount Pictures on Tuesday morning.  Officially titled Jackass Forever, the trailer kicks off with a black and white trip down memory lane, asking “When was the last time you got together with old friends to laugh your asses off?”  That question is quickly answered when Johnny Knoxville gets shot out of a cannon wearing eagle wings.  Now with a full head of gray hair, it’s been a minute since we’ve seen Knoxville and the boys.

The film features Jackass veterans Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Jason “Wee Man” Acuna, and Preston Lacy.  They’re joined by a collection of new characters and guest appearances from Eric Andre, Tyler, the Creator, and Odd Future’s Jasper Dolphin.  It’s also rumored that Shaq, Tony Hawk, and Post Malone will be featured in the movie, though they did not appear explicitly in the trailer.

Jackass began as an MTV series in October 2000, co-created by Knoxville, Spike Jonze, and director Jeff Tremaine.  The series ran for three seasons before going off the air in February 2002.  The cast reunited on the big screen later that year for Jackass: The Movie.  At the time, much of the cast and crew were convinced this was the conclusion of the franchise.  The project grossed over $60 million in the U.S. alone, and four years later we got a second Jackass movie.

Hearing Knoxville’s signature “I’m Johnny Knoxville and welcome to Jackass” ignites a flurry of memories.  Before Ridiculousness dominated the airwaves, the men of Jackass and their equally insane spin offs were the kings of MTV.  There isn’t a single 13-year-old who wasn’t watching Jackass throughout the 2000’s.  Now, it’s been over a decade since Jackass 3D, and with most of the main cast pushing 50, Jackass Forever is sure to be another wild ride.

Jackass Forever hits theaters October 22nd.  You can watch the trailer below and let us know your thoughts in the comments!  Lastly, for more entertainment news from Wavypack, check out Julia Ducournau winning the Palme d’Or at Cannes.
