After months of speculation we finally have the first trailer for Steven Spielberg‘s Animaniacs Reboot. The cartoon’s original voice cast returns, to bring you the voices you remember from your childhood. Hulu unveiled the trailer, a two min trailer that confirms all the rumors. Wakko, Yakko and Dot return and with their original voices. In typical fashion the show features plenty of jokes and pop culture references as this first trailer showcases. It starts with Yakko speaking directly to the camera:
“Hello. Reboots are symptomatic of a fundamental lack of originality in Hollywood… Here’s your check for the Animaniacs reboot, you sellouts.”
The jokes are a plenty as they reference all the things they’ve missed while the show wasn’t being aired. Things like quinoa wraps and the rise of Beyoncé. That, paired with skeevy, quirky characters, a giant orange cyclops, beloved characters such as Pinky and the Brain, and much more give us an idea of the humor and visuals fans should expect from this upcoming series.
