"I keep that fire for n*ggas preparing for the smoke"

For Peets Sake is easily one of the better artists we’ve heard this year, there’s no rush or sense of dismay in his delivery. For Peets Sake sounds comfortable in front of a microphone, and in “Ever Wrote” it’s even more apparent. He coasts effortlessly over the heavy-hitting production, setting the tone immediately. The production sits well and features reverb blanketed synths. In addition to a flute-like instrument as the lead and a heavy baseline that syncs perfectly against boom-bap style drums.

In the Elvis Perez shot video Peets raps while walking and hanging out in the rugged streets of the Bronx. Continuing to apply pressure lyrically, throughout the record, taking shots at anyone in the way. This is the first track off his upcoming project, “For The Sake Of” with a release date still TBA. You can watch the official video for “Ever Wrote” above. Lastly, for more indie music spotlights, Olivia Dean Captivates on Her Latest Offering “Baby Come Back”.
