Bandai Namco Unveils ‘Tekken 8’ Story and Gameplay Trailer

The trailer opens with a slightly older Miles Morales, voiced by Shameik Moore, talking with his mom. Following several flashbacks to the original film, new footage shows Miles and Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld) traversing different universes as they run into dozens of alternate Spider-Men. We then get a first look at Issa Rae’s motorcycle-riding Spider-Woman, Jorma Taccone’s high-flying villain Vulture, and Oscar Isaac’s brutal Spider-Man 2099. Further, Jason Schwartzman will voice The sPot, the movie’s main antagonist.

Additionally, the film will blend six dominant art styles as opposed to one animation style in the first movie. “The two that you saw in the teaser trailer were what’s called Earth-50101, which we’re calling ‘Mumbattan’ – that’s based on an Indian comic-book look – and Nueva York from Spider-Man 2099’s world,” explains producer Christopher Miller. “That’s based on Syd Mead-style illustrations of what the future might look like. There’s also Gwen’s world, which is Earth-65. And that was a watercolor-wash style that’s reminiscent of the covers of her comic books.”
